Easter Bunny Pics 2012

We had our bunny pictures taken last week! I was anxious to see how the boys would react to the real bunny. They both did great - at first I don't think Tanner realized it was a real bunny, while Brooks gently petted it. After awhile Tanner got a little more interested, and by the end, he was trying to pull its ears! He also wanted to take the bunny's carrots with him :)

We are really excited about our Easter celebrations - church, then back home with family and friends for lots of food, treats and an egg hunt!

Over the past few weeks Brooks has asked me to say the Lord's Prayer to him at bedtime. Today after church we went out to lunch and Brooks asked to go to Red Robin, but Garrett and I didn't really want to go there, so Garrett told Brooks if he could say the Lord's Prayer we would go. And he said the whole thing all by himself! We were so amazed - we've never asked him to say it, nor have we ever heard him say it. It's pretty cute :)

Tanner's Birthday Party

Today was Tanner's first birthday party! It was such a fun day - lots of family, friends, food and fun was shared to celebrate the little man. And we had snow!! About 3 inches of snow fell yesterday and today - but most still came to celebrate - had about 40 people clap and sing for him!!

He loved his cake - was so cute as we all stood around him and sang - didn't know what to think at first, then said "oooooo!" when he saw the cake. He devoured it!

Last night as I was decorating the cake, the power went out!! Got some of it done during the dim lighting before it got too dark, then stayed up till midnight to finish once the lights came on. Even though I was super tired, I loved doing it :)
