Every October, for as long as I can remember, we have gone to Oysterfest in Shelton, WA. I just love it - it truly marks the arrival of Fall for me. My family gathers together at my parent's house, and then we head out mid-morning the first Saturday in October. We get there right as the gates open - and there are already TONS of people there. It's so much fun to taste all kinds of seafood dishes - especially oysters. I remember walking around enjoying all the food last year, as Brooks was in my belly - this year he got to enjoy the festivities with me! Can't wait for next year, when he can actually try all this local great seafood. Gosh I love the NW.
