Preschool Halloween Party

Yesterday we had a fun party at preschool. The kids got to dress up, have special treats, do a parade to the office, and play some games!

Fall Baking Day

This past weekend Cheryl and I had our "fall baking day". We started on Friday and worked all day Saturday. It was so much fun, and of course we had our little helper!
Apple butter, pumpkin truffles, cranberry baklava, pumpkin whoopie pies, cowgirl cookies, chex mix, and struesel topped pumpkin bread!

Pumpkins

This week we carved our pumpkins ~ Brooks wasn't so sure what to think about all the seeds, but he did have fun putting the "Mr. Potato Head Pirate" pieces on his pumpkin. Happy Halloween everyone!

Field Trip to the Pumpking Patch!

Today we took a field trip to Schilter Family Farms with our preschool. The kids had a wonderful time! They did a hay maze, got to pet a lot of animals, go on a hay ride, and pick out a pumpkin.

Checking out the pigs - right before this, Brooks had stuck his finger up one of their noses :)

Farewell to the M's Season

Today we went to the final game of the M's 2010 season. We had gone to opening day, so it was really fun to go to the last game as well. Brooks had a great time - ate lots of junk food, clapped and yelled, and loved watching the players from above.

Our seats were perfect - Brooks loved standing at the rail to watch everything down below.
Three of the greatest M's were there for the opening pitch - The Bone, Edgar and my all-time favorite Dan Wilson :)
It was a fun day - yes, the M's lost, but the three of us were together for the day, and that's all that matters.

Happy October!

We have a new "Happy Halloween" calendar this year - each day has a spot for a piece of candy. Last night after dinner, Brooks got to get the piece of chocolate out for the 1st.

Enjoying his crunch bar!
Happy October everyone!
